Garnet stones are characterized by a deep red color and red is often recognized as the color of love. With Garnet being the birthstone for the month of January, it makes the Garnet Forever Rose especially appropriate as a gift for your loved one born in the month of January or for sending the message of intense love.
Our Garnet rose is a deep, dark red and features red sparkles suspended in the highly reflective lacquered finish. The stem, tips of the petals, and tips of the leaves are plated in real, 24 karat gold.
Garnet is not just a birthstone. Gemstones have long been recognized to possess other spiritual meanings and powers. Garnet in particular has been said to possess curative properties and represents primordial fire. In the Talmud, an important part of Jewish theology, there is even a reference to the light source on Noah's Ark being a massive garnet stone. Garnets have also been significant to a variety of other cultures including indigenous Americans, African tribes, the Mayans and interestingly, was worn by both Christians and Muslims during the Crusades.
